Jack Lieske
Cleveland Electric Laboratories Company Inc.
President

The Cleveland Electric Laboratories Company Inc. was founded in 1920 to provide repair service of electric meters for railroad and Cleveland industries. When formal Ohio Corporation papers were filed in 1930, we were already supplying temperature instrumentation, calibration and on-site service for steel and heat treat companies in Ohio. The company continued to grow in sales and employment by adding the manufacture of thermocouple sensors and components, platinum thermocouple wire, and new industrial temperature control products.
In 1954, Frederick J. Lieske, an employee of CEL for twelve years, became owner and President. He successfully grew the company until his passing in 1984. Fred's son, Jack Lieske, was appointed President of the family-owned business in 1981.
